SPANS OF TWO LEFT-TURN OVERPASSES OVER A VOLGOGRADSKY PROSPEKT WERE ASSEMBLED ON THE SOUTH-EASTERN CHORD

The constructors have completed the assembling of the metal structures of the spans of two left-turn overpasses through Volgogradsky Prospekt in the South-Eastern Chord section. The project of the construction was developed by the engineers of the Mosproekt-3, the company which forms a part of the so named Group of companies

The first overpass is going to provide the South-Eastern Chord to Volgogradsky Prospekt left-turn exit road towards the Moscow region, and the second one from Volgogradsky Prospekt to the chord main traffic course in the direction of Kashirskoye shosse.

“The operational works on concreting the trestles, assembling the metal structures of the spans on other overpasses, the construction of subsurface walls, the reconstruction of the engineering utilities are being carried on,” – said Rafik Zagrutdinov, the Head of Moscow Construction Department.

In particular, steel reinforced concrete elements, which can be assembled by cranes, are used on the left-turn overpass exit roads, and the direct traffic overpass is going to be constructed by incremental launching method.
