TROITSKAYA METRO LINE WILL BE OPEN IN 2024
The Troitskaya Line section from Novatorskaya to Mamyri Station is 42% complete. Tunneling works have already been completed; station complexes are currently under construction. The section was designed by Mospromproekt, the company which forms a part of the so named Group of companies Mosproekt-3.
During the site visit, Sergei Sobyanin, the Mayor of Moscow, stated that the Troitskaya Line is planned to be opened by 2024: “The Troitskaya Line will become one the biggest and longest lines of Moscow Metro. Intersections with both Moscow Central Circle and the Big Circle Line provide good transfer possibilities for the further integration into the city metro system”.
At all five stations, there have already been completed works on the enclosing structures construction and utilities removal; at the current stage, the excavation works are actively underway and the works on monolithic structures also have been launched.
“The stations’ architectural appearance has already been approved: all the stations have a modern esthetic, and every station has individual powerful architectural style. For walls and ceilings’ decoration, it is planned to use aluminum honeycomb panels of different sizes, for columns and floor there were picked granite, marble and gabbro as finishing materials. The main accent will be made on the architectural geometry and bright colors”, – said Andrey Bochkarev, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction.
As it was previously mentioned, the Troitskaya Line section will become the first metro project in Russia, which was entirely designed by using BIM.
“For example, for Ulitsa Generala Tyuleneva Station it was impossible to use a standard design project, as the station is located between the road and residential development area. Due to the use of BIM-technologies we have managed to integrate the station complex into the dense urban development and to install all necessary engineering systems in the most rational and effective way”, – explained Anna Merkulova, CEO of the Group of companies Mosproekt-3.
