TEMPORARILY CLOSED STATIONS OF KALUZHSKO-RIZHSKAYA LINE CAN BE OPENED AHEAD OF SCHEDULE

The stations of the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line, which were temporarily closed during the Big Circle Line construction, can be open ahead of schedule. The project of the Big Circle Line southern section was developed by the engineers of “Mospromroekt”, the company which forms a part of The Group of companies Mosproekt-3.

“The temporary restrictions on the section between “Novye Cheremushki” and “Belyaevo” stations are caused by the tunneling in the area of the operating Kaluzhskaya station. In order to provide safe transportation, we had to close those stations for passengers from March, 20th until April, 2d. Nevertheless, we will make the maximum effort to complete all works ahead of schedule,” – said Andrey Bochkarev, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction.

As Anna Merkulova, CEO of The Group of companies Mosproekt-3, has previously highlighted, the “Vorontsovskaya” station hall, which is currently under construction, is in the output area of a tunnel boring machine. In order to accelerate the construction, we designed and engineered some temporary apertures to disassembly tunneling shield.
