NOVOMOSKOVSKAYA METRO STATION IS 30% COMPLETE

Novomoskovskaya station of the Sokolnicheskaya line of the Moscow metro is 30% complete: the operation works on the foundation pits construction are being accomplished, the construction of the structural elements is in progress. The station is being constructed in accordance with the engineering solutions of the experts of Mospromproekt, a company that forms a part of the Mosproekt-3 Group of companies.

“Novomoskovskaya is going to be constructed by means of new technology, as a result, it is going to become the first heated ground station of the Moscow metro. To do this, additional ventilation equipment will be installed there to increase the air heating. Apart from that, the station halls will be provided with the additional insulating systems, there will be double-glazed line track walls, as well,” – Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction, said.

The station complex is situated in the unified transit structure along with the highway Solntsevo – Butovo – Varshavskoye shosse and from both sides is squeezed by two flyovers. Andrey Bochkarev emphasized that engineering solutions developed by the experts of the Group of Companies enabled to implement the project in the limited space conditions highly-effectively.

Anna Merkulova, CEO of the Group of Companies Mosproekt-3, previously noted that the designing engineers had managed to fit in the additional ventilation equipment into the layout of the station and create a unique architectural exterior.

“To tackle the challenge, we got rid of the conventional air-ventilation chamber inside the station and placed all the large-size equipment on the rooftop of the station complex instead. All the branched utility systems and the envelopment structure were efficiently interconnected by means of BIM-technologies,” – Anna Merkulova said.

Novomoskovskaya station is due to have become operational by the end of 2023. Once launched, the station complex will certainly improve the transit services for the residents of Novomoskovsky district, Yuzhnoye Butovo district and new blocks in Kommunarka district.
