BORING OF THE SEVENTH TUNNEL ON THE TROITSTKAYA LINE IS COMPLETE

Boring of the main line tunnel on the section of the Troitskaya Line between Universitet Druzhby Narodov and Ulitsa Generala Tuleneva Station is complete. The facility was designed by Mospromproekt JSC, which is a member of The Group of Companies Mosproekt-3.

“Olga tunneling shield bored the right tunnel with a total length of 2,7 km, the tunnel is located in the area where there are lots of utilities.  The bigger part of the tunnel route is under the Tyoply Stan landscape reserve and has intersections with a stream and Ochakovka River. In order to protect park area, green plantations on the surface were monitored round the clock”, – said Andrey Bochkarev, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction.

According to the Head of Moscow Complex of Urban Planning Policy and Construction, boring of the next left tunnel is about to be completed.

As Anna Merkulova, The Group of Companies Mosproekt-3 CEO, has previously highlighted, this section of the Troitskaya Line is the first metro project in Russia, which was fully designed using BIM: “BIM-based design speeds up transport construction within the implementation of large-scale construction projects in Moscow”.
