BORING OF THE SEVENTH TUNNEL ON TROITSTKAYA LINE IS COMPLETE

The boring of the main line tunnel in the section of the Troitskaya Line between “Universitet Druzhby Narodov” and “Ulitsa Generala Tuleneva” stations is complete. The structure was developed by Mospromproekt, the company which forms a part of the so named Group of companies.

““Olga” tunneling shield bored the right tunnel with the total length of 2,7 km, the tunnel is located in the area where there are a lot of utility systems.  The biggest part of the tunnel route went under the landscape reserve “Tyoply Stan” and had intersections with a stream and the Ochakovka River. In order to protect the park area, the green plantating on the ground is permanently monitored”, – said Andrey Bochkarev, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction.

According to the Head of Moscow Complex of Urban Planning Policy and Construction, boring of the next left tunnel is about to be completed.

According to Anna Merkulova, CEO of The Group of companies Mosproekt-3, this section of the Troitskaya Line is the first metro project in Russia, which was entirely designed and engineered by means of BIM: “BIM-based design and engineering tends to accelerate the transport construction which is being developed in Moscow”.
