The current stage of the development of The Group of companies Mosproekt-3 is closely connected with the large-scale urban planning changes in Moscow that occurred over the previous decade. In accordance with the city government’s decision, the longest-standing Design and Engineering Institutes Mosproekt-3, Mospromproekt and MNIITEP (Moscow Scientific-Research and Design Institute of Typology and Experimental Design) were consolidated into the largest centre of engineering competencies.

Meeting the challenges of the dynamically developing megapolis, within the shortest period of time the joint team of highly qualified engineers intensified professional competencies in the sphere of transport construction and managed to become a major participant in the unprecedented urban planning programmes. The further mastering of professional skills and abilities ultimately brought the Group of companies to a new level, a federal project was included into the Company’s portfolio.

UNIQUE EXPERIENCE

Moscow Scientific-Research and Design Institute of Typology and Experimental Design (MNIITEP), established in 1951, crucially contributed into the history of the capital of Russia. The post-war period was known to require the provision of the residents of the country with residential area in record time. The implementation of that broad-scale task was delegated to the Institute’s experts. During the Soviet period MNIITEP was the one that was able to shape the prime standard building and launch the industrial housing construction. In Moscow over half of residential properties as well as the majority of educational institutions were built under the projects designed by MNIITEP.

Mosproekt-3 was founded in 1961 with the focus on the external improvement, landscaping and planting of the capital. Over its 50 years of expertise Mosproekt-3 managed to fulfill a valuable input into the complex improvement and architectural & artistic image of Moscow and Moscow region. As a result of the performance of the highly efficient and creative Mosproekt-3 team, the most famous landmarks of Moscow were realized and well-improved, for instance, the territory of the Kremlin, Red Square, Government House, Reception Houses of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the historical parks of Sokolniki, Izmaylovo, Fili, Kuskovo etс. Over the years the scope of the institute broadened essentially, a range of new directions, such as colour theory, architectural lightening, landscape architecture happened to appear.

Mospromproekt, established in 1978, during the Soviet period specialized in the development of the projects for municipal and transport facilities, as well as provided the entire Moscow economic sector with design and engineering documentation. Historically efficient in the design and engineering of multi-level parkings, Mospromproekt has evolved into one of the leaders in the development of the underground space. Nowadays Mospromproekt is a major participant of the large-scale metro development programme.

NEW COMPETENCIES

In 2010, the Moscow city authorities radically revised its previous urban planning policy, having set a course towards a polycentric development model with an extensive transport system. Such huge projects as New Moscow, redevelopment of industrial zones, and residential properties renovation were timely provided with the unprecedented metro network expansion programme, large-scale road construction and new modes of transport – the Moscow Central Circle (MCC) and Moscow Central Diameters (MCD).

The tight deadlines and high rates set by the Moscow Construction Complex required the mobilization of all possible resources. To increase the efficiency of the design and engineering direction, separate Design Institutes were united into large Groups of companies. The long-term experience of Mosproekt-3, Mospromproekt and MNIITEP was accumulated under the brand name of The Group of companies Mosproekt-3. The competencies of the united team were adapted to the up-to-date demands of the developing metropolis in the shortest possible time and the experts of the Group of companies got instantly engaged to perform the key tasks effectively.

Today, The Group of companies Mosproekt-3 engineers implement the most technologically sophisticated and unique projects within Moscow Metro construction programme. In the section from Petrovsko-Razumovskaya to Seligerskaya station of the Lyublinsko–Dmitrovskaya line, the experts of the Group of companies were able to tame the nature and cope with disastrous water inflow, having applied special methods in aqueous soil. Belomorskaya station had to be “inset” above the operating underground line Zamoskvoretskaya without any traffic disruption on the line, while the section between Rechnoy Vokzal and Khovrino was already in operation. For the residents of New Moscow, the ground section from Salaryevo to Kommunarka station of the Sokolnicheskaya line was completed in record time. The coverage of rails, having been newly applied in Moscow Metro, enables to protect the line from atmospheric precipitation and improve the safety of all transport systems. The Group of companies experts integrated a long stretch of the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line (Big Circle) with a new planned line of the Moscow Metro – the Troitskaya line. For the first time in the history of Russian underground construction the section of the new radial line was entirely designed and engineered by means of BIM-technologies.

The Group of companies Mosproekt-3 engineers delicately integrate the most technologically sophisticated engineering structures into the dense urban development. The largest project so far is the construction of the high-speed highway network formed of separate chords, which is going to unite different sections of the city in its central part. The Group of companies experts also designed and engineered new Moscow outbound routes: Generala Dorokhova Prospekt is entirely launched, the Alternate Route for Lublinskaya Street and Northern Drive for Kutuzovsky Prospekt are under construction. The latter one was designed and engineered by means of BIM-technologies. The engineers created a unique library of infrastructure components, performed variance analysis of automation technologies and established internal regulatory documents that eventually enabled effective project management.

Up-to-date transport hubs tend to optimize megapolis extensive transport system. The Group of companies Mosproekt-3 experts created the majority of transport hubs on MCC. “Ryazanskaya” hub is a symbol of technological breakthrough, this transport hub unites two metro stations, MCC and future MCD platforms. To implement this project, the Group of companies engineers had to update the regulatory framework.

The Group of companies Mosproekt-3 architects’ professionalism and talent in the sphere of civil engineering have been highly regarded and appreciated by the expert community. Complex development in Severny District, where the municipal customer tested the modernized standard housing development, was recognized as a new benchmark. Social facilities such as schools, kindergartens and health clinics etc., having been constructed by the project of the Group of companies experts, were generously appreciated by Moscow residents. The Group of companies Mosproekt-3 engineers’ advanced ideas and concepts were enhanced in the projects within grand-scale programme of Moscow residential properties renovation. New comfortable residential complexes currently tend to replace the old standard housing development facilities, which happen to have been constructed more than half a century ago during the first industrial housing construction period.

Throughout its history, the team of The Group of companies Mosproekt-3 has always been recognized as Russian technical elite. Today the Group of companies experts develop and implement the most innovative technologies, including information modeling. Therefore, customers can always expect high-quality project documentation, optimal terms and the cost of implementation.

Effective management and engineering competencies, innovative technical and scientific knowledge, ambition and will to succeed – these are the qualities, that have always been associated with The Group of companies Mosproekt-3 team. Perfect implementation of Moscow mega-projects enabled the Group of companies to participate in federal projects. The Group of companies Mosproekt-3 still preserves the leadership in construction industry and is always there for new challenges.
