The Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya Line
Moscow Metro Development Program has no world analogues. Expansion program impresses by its scale that involves the maximum extent possible resources. The Group of Companies Mosproekt-3 engineers joined the unprecedented program, when it just had been launched, and in the shortest time possible won the status of a leader in the field of underground space development.
As a key participant of Moscow Metro Development Program, The Group of Companies Mosproekt-3 provides it with unique technical solutions. For example, due to The Group of Companies engineers’ professionalism, a deep tunnel of the Lyublinsko–Dmitrovskaya Line extension was implemented in the shortest time possible – in the aqueous soil, engineers applied special methods including freezing method.
«The construction of the Lyublinsko–Dmitrovskaya Line extension was carried out in the conditions of dense residential and industrial urban development, large number of already existing engineering systems and in close proximity to railway infrastructure. Furthermore, geotechnical conditions were rather difficult: composite soil was prevailing along tunnel tracks, most of it also was aqueous soil type. Tunneling was conducted with a use of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) and by applying drill and blast method. During the construction of stations, main line and inclined escalator tunnels, which were located in the aqueous soil, there was used chemical grouting and freezing method»
