FIRST STAGE OF INTERCHANGE CONSTRUCTION AT INTERSECTION WITH NORTHERN ALTERNATE ROUTE OF KUTUZOVSKY PROSPEKT AND THE THIRD TRANSPORT CIRCLE IS BEING COMPLETED

The first stage of the construction of the interchange at the intersection with the Northern Alternate Route of Kutuzovsky Prospekt, Shelepikhinskaya Embankment and the Third Transport Circle is 80% complete. The structure was designed and engineered the experts of  “Mosproekt-3”, the company which forms a part of the so named Group of companies.

“The first construction stage is almost complete, including the works on Mukomolny Proyezd and two passages under design: № 4571 and № 6680. A target date is December 2021. The second stage includes the construction of engineering structures and utilities, the construction of three bridge threstles and the installation of two span sections have already been over”, – said Andrey Bochkarev, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction.

It is planned to construct four overpasses: an exit road from the Northern Alternate Route of Kutuzovsky Prospekt to the 1st Krasnogvardeysky Proyezd, a left-turn access road from Shelepikhinskaya Embankment to the Northern Alternate Route of Kutuzovsky Prospekt, an exit road from the Third Transport Circle to the Northern Alternate Route of Kutuzovsky Prospekt and an exit road from the Third Transport Circle to the passage along the Sechenov Botanical Garden.

Andrey Bochkarev noted that The Group of companies Mosproekt-3 engineers took into account the dense urban development caused by the large railway infrastructure of Moscow Central Circle and Moscow Central Diameter-1.

“For three overpasses we managed to find the solutions that enabled to incorporate the engineering structures into the existing urban development bypassing the railway infrastructure. In these sections, we provided the assembling of the reinforced concrete span from the temporary bridge trestles. One of the overpasses crosses the Smolensky Suburban Railway Line, so we decided to use incremental launching method in order not to interrupt the train traffic. The route covering is normally conducted during the “technological windows”, that guarantees the safety of all the construction works”, – said Anna Merkulova, CEO of The Group of companies Mosproekt-3.

The third stage will include the operational works on bank protection and embankment improvement, construction of roads, pavements and pedestrian crossings.
